MOVING IN FAITH — The sixth annual Regina Catholic School Division’s Moving in Faith Day was blessed this year with fine weather and attracted close to 700 students, adults, teachers, administrators and families to Regina’s Canada Games Park. They ran, walked or jogged around the track and the more athletic used a 10-kilometre route through the Wascana Centre Park of which the Games facility is located. Children and adults had their faces painted by volunteers, Riffel High School Chaplain Pat Roth showed off his balloon sculpture skills to the delight of the children recipients and the younger set enjoyed the air-supported slide and trampoline structures. There was no charge to take part but donations were asked for in support of the Regina Archdiocesan Youth Camps which benefited from the $1,700 raised. The day began with a half hour performance by the Leboldus High School Aramaic Praise Band followed by the Catholic Community Praise Band, Visions. Rev. John Weckend then officially opened the Day at 1:30 p.m. with a prayer and blessing. (Photo by Frank Flegel)
