Frail Trust?

To one bereft of faith
comes mocking scorn:
“Your trust is but a spider's web.” *
Yet who's to say?
For I have seen a hollyhock
crippled by a storm
until a spider realigned the broken stem
and setting it in silken splint
secured it to the concrete wall,
and there the flower bloomed,
despite its fall.
