In Honour Of The Prairie Messenger

The sowers plowed the fields
of the mind with the word,
planted the seeds of hope
near the sparks of truth, and
watered them with wisdom.

All they could do then was
leave it in the hands of
the Creator of the universe.
It was a long work of trust
in this harsh and beautiful land.

Now the sowers slowly rock
in the chairs of experience,
trusting the new reapers
heading to the golden fields
with cellphones in their hands.
